# 12. Reproducibility

`gsplot` is designed to have functions that can be used to reproduce the same plots. When plot with importing gsplot generates `gsplot_log.yml` in `~/.config/gsplot` directory. This file contains the version of `gsplot` and the commit hash of the repository. This file is used to reproduce the same plot in the future.

## Store Metadata of gsplot

Metadata of `gsplot` can be stored in following files: `./.gsplot/metadata.yml`, `./.gsplot/config.json`, and `./.gsplot/history/history.txt`. The metadata file contains the version of `gsplot` and the commit hash of the repository. The config file contains the configuration of `gsplot`. The history file tracks all histories of configuration on the executed main file. This feature enables the user to reproduce the same plot in the future by using the metadata and config files.

### Configuration

To enable this feature, set `metadata` to `true` in the configuration file.
